Coronavirus (Covid-19) – Information
Dear Customer,
At the moment when the world is entering uncertain times, with national authorities taking extraordinary measures to contain the COVIC-19 pandemic, and disrupting the daily lives of our society. I would like to update you on the plans we have been proactively working on to confront this issue.
The impact that the virus is having on our business is broadly in 3 categories:
Our supply chain continuity
We have substantial stock holdings of all major products and have been working closely with our raw materials suppliers since January to continually adjust our forecasting and demand models to manage any foreseeable risk to the local, regional and global supply chain in the short to medium term. We are continuously monitoring the evolving circumstances surrounding the COVID-19 outbreak and finding solutions to avoid service disruption where possible.
Our staff welfare
Due to the nature of our business, many of our Granthams Signs colleagues can’t work from home and a number of them will need to respond to personal or family challenges connected with dealing with COVID -19. So we would please ask that you understand the challenging environment in which we are all working. For the welfare of our staff we continue to monitor the situation in the UK, we are closely following the advice given by the Government and NHS, including the usual advice regarding increased cleaning regimes, personal hygiene and reducing physical contact. We have implemented social distancing for work stations within the office and production areas where possible. We have provided extensive guidance to our employees, to help prevent the spread of any infection, fortunately to date we have not had any coronavirus cases reported in our workforce.
The impact on our customers
Although we do not share or provide copies of our plans, due to the proprietary nature of the information, I can assure you that it is our priority to meet our customer expectations, where possible, by continuing to supply signage of the highest standard to our customers. We introduced a multi training employee programme a couple of years ago, and with the additional staff welfare measures implemented we continue to stay open and operate as normal, this stands us in good stead to provide continuity in our service levels to all our customers.
If any of the above changes, as a result of any instructions given by the government, we will make you aware. Questions relating to the COVID-19, we encourage you to reference the guidance from the World Health Organisation and Public Health England.
